Reading and writing, taught together

Strong reading and strong writing grow from the same roots. When a child understands how sounds, letters, and words work, both their reading and their writing improve together. That is why I teach them as one connected skill rather than two separate subjects.

From Pre-K through 6th grade, I help children build fluency in reading and writing while strengthening spelling, vocabulary, and comprehension along the way.

From decoding to composition

We start wherever your child needs support, whether that is sounding out words, reading with smooth expression, understanding what they read, or organizing their thoughts into clear sentences and paragraphs.

  • Decoding and phonics for accurate word reading
  • Fluency practice for smooth, expressive reading
  • Vocabulary and comprehension for deeper understanding
  • Written expression for confident, organized writing

A structured, creative approach

I use the Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention curriculum alongside multi-sensory Orton-Gillingham techniques, and I bring a creative, personalized touch to every lesson so learning stays engaging.
